Street Dance NZ

Street Dance New Zealand (SDNZ) was established in January 2007 to present the inaugural event “NZ Dance Championships” – qualifiers to the annual Hiphop International event "World Hiphop Championships" held in the U.S.A. Under the direction of Ennaolla Paea and select NZ dance companies, SDNZ has developed into the nationally respected entity that represents the New Zealand street dance community across the globe.
Street Dance New Zealand endorse and run two major events: "NZ Dance Championships" and the Dream Awards & Dance Showcase. Being passionate about the dance community, SDNZ aim to use dance as a vehicle to inspire and empower young people & performers to excel and achieve both nationally and internationally.
The 2 part project “Dream" has developed into a monumental event which platforms NZ performers amongst a captivated audience of thousands. The annual event captures the heart of each performer by acknowledging them for their outstanding talent and influence they have made in their community.
The project consists of a 10 week development programme aimed to mentor and develop young performers who are passionate about dance. Concluding the programme is the esteemed dance showcase. The showcase includes the programme performances, invited guest performers, and invited dance companies who are acknowledged for their globally recognised achievements and immense influence in the NZ dance community.
A gathering for all to share one love, speak one language of dance.
